Whether it's a sudden loss, traumatic event(s), ongoing stress, relationship problems or a life transition, it can be helpful to have a safe space to process and choose how you respond. I have a strength-based approach to help you respond in meaningful and empowering ways. Or maybe you want to change old patterns or be more present and connected in your life. I strongly believe in a person's ability to overcome challenges and live a more fulfilling life. I am especially passionate about working with women dealing with trauma, grief/loss or other challenges related to pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
I see therapy as a collaborative process and that my primary role is to offer a safe and accepting environment to help facilitate awareness. I am trained in a number of body-based and trauma processing models as I believe including the body can help facilitate deeper change. Mindfulness and self-compassion are also an important part of the work that I do.
I offer individual counselling to adults and older teens. I have over 10 years of counselling experience, a calm demeanor, non-judgmental attitude, and compassionate spirit. I would be honored to be a part of your journey and healing process.
